My journey on a Walk to Emmaus started in February 2009 on walk: 207. I was the typical "tell me what to expect on a Walk" person as my husband went on his walk the November before mine in February. I tell people the only reason I went was because I wanted to know what goes on. Man, am I glad I went. That walk set a fire in me to share Christ with everyone I knew and met. We have sponsored lots of pilgrims in our time with Emmaus. We even attended an Emmaus leadership conference led by the Upper Room. Personally I have sat on multiple committees in the past, worked behind the scenes numerous times, I have served as an Asst TL, TL, ALD, and LD for walk 280. I have decorated for special dinners, served communion for community events on numerous occasions, passed out candles for candlelight, attended send off and closing too many times to count and I have even volunteered with Chrysalis, even serving as a Lay Director flight 123. What I have not done is served on the board and I would be honored to serve in the capacity. |

Madison Walker
My name is Madison Walker, and I’ve been married to my husband, Lance, for eight wonderful years. Together, we have three children: Lily (5), Walker (4), and Clark (2). I am a registered nurse with a broad range of experience, from the ER and ICU to my current role as a supervisor in home care. I first attended my Chrysalis at 15 and have since remained deeply involved in both the Chrysalis and Emmaus communities. I’ve had the privilege of serving on the Chrysalis Board of Directors and have contributed as both an assistant table leader and table leader on multiple Chrysalis Flights, where I delivered the "Ideals" talk. Additionally, I’ve served as an assistant table leader and table leader on three Emmaus Walks, sharing the "Discipleship," "Growth Through Study," and "Life of Piety" talks. The Emmaus community holds a special place in my heart, and I cherish participating in everything from Candlelight services to the broader Community events. My parents instilled in me the importance of living a Christ-centered life, and I strive to model that for my children and those around me. |

Brian Thomas
My name is Brian Thomas, I went on Walk 168 many moons ago. I worked my way though pilgrim to assistant table leader to table leader. I have been a Assistant table leader to table leader to a lay director. I have also spent 6 years in the past on the board of directors with 1 year as the Community Lay Director and one year as past lay director. I have been involved in Golden Spread Emmaus for many years and most of my last 10 years has been behind the scenes. I love Emmaus for drawing us closer to God but it is NOT a substitute to your home church, everyone needs a home church for further growth and a small group or Sunday school class. All of my family, wife and both of our girls have been on a chrysalis, a walk and worked walks. I have served on the board of Ceta Canyon for 6 ½ years been an active member of the Downtown Kiwanis Club, and Chairman of the Potter Randall 911 District. I have been nominated to serve on the board again. I have agreed to accept that nomination to continue God’s work in bringing folks closer to Christ. I have been in law enforcement for 37 years and currently am the Sheriff in Potter County. I live my life with Christ at the front of my thoughts and life. We have 2 daughters, 3 grandkids 2 girls and 1 boy, both girls are happily married and we have 2 wonderful son in laws. When I am not working, I enjoy doing yard work and also doing woodworking. My Name again is Brian Thomas and I welcome your vote for me. |
