Dawnette Lusk

Dawnette Lusk
My name is Dawnette Lusk, and I attended Golden Spread Walk #113 in 1999 at the Bishop DeFalco Retreat Center. Since then, I have worked on six different walks. The Lay Directors for those walks were Ginger Tucker (twice), Lori Tracey, Lisa Crossman, Kayla Ebencamp, and Carol Roller. I have served as an assistant table leader three times and a table leader 3 times on these walks. I have given three talks: Priesthood of All Believers, The Body of Christ, and Discipleship. After attending my Walk to Emmaus, my husband and I became very involved with Kairos and Kairos Outside and worked many of those together over the years. I was a leader for a Kairos Outside. I truly love the Emmaus community and have witnessed much healing and lives changed through this ministry. It would be an honor to serve on this board if it is God's will. |

Meredith Vasquez
Hey my name is Meredith and I have been married to Steven for 14 years, together for 22. We have 3 boys together. Noah who is 13, Ben who is 10, and Luke who is eight. We also have a “snorkie” Charlee. She is a yorkie, schnauzer mix! We are members of Saint Stephen Church where we have attended since 2019. We spend our free time coaching and volunteering for our kids' events and schools. You can find our family at baseball fields, basketball courts, football fields, at Amarillo Little Theatre, the Edge and AYC events for our busy life with boys. I have served the Emmaus community for 5 years since I went on my walk Feb 2020. I was asked to be the speaker at my 4th day community after my walk. I have served on two Chrysalis teams where I gave the “Faith talk” as co-table leader and served as assistant lay director (ALD). I have served as an assistant table leader (ATL) then table leader (TL) where I gave my “Grow through study” talk. Then I filled in on teams where people have had to step away for one reason or another twice, once as assistant table leader (ATL) and another for table Leader (TL) where I again gave “Grow through study” talk. I am working the upcoming February walk as table leader (TL) where I will give the “Changing our world” talk. I have served for the behind the scenes (BST) for the team and coordinator for the weekend at least 6 times that I can remember and countless times just in the four hour slots. I have also served on the training team for Emmaus since 2022 where I train for roles on the upcoming men and women’s walks. I would be honored to serve on the board so thank you for your consideration. |

As a retired IT Director, I now have more time to serve and focus more on family. My wife, Cyndy, and I have three grown children (one of which is also involved with Emmaus) and four grandchildren. We like to travel and see new things together as well as serve within the Emmaus community. I have worked three wonderful Walks over the past few years and like to attend as many Emmaus functions as I can. I just remember seeing all those candles on my original Walk, and I want others to see that too, so attending candlelight is a must. Emmaus is a great ministry, and I am proud to be a small part of it. |

Brandon Melton
My name is Brandon Melton I am humbled and blessed to be a part of the Emmaus community. I am married to my best friend and number one fan, Bridgette; who never stops encouraging me and supporting me to always be a light for others. We are a blended family with 4 great kids and 2 grandkids. I went on my walk as a pilgrim in 2011, walk# 222. I have then worked many walks from assistant table leader to just recently working walk 285 as a lay director. I have given the talk on priorities, discipleship, growth by study, 4th day and perseverance. I have worked as BST coordinator on my wife’s walk as she was a lay director on walk 286. I am asking for your nomination to be on the board because I believe in the ministry that puts our hands and feet to work for the sheep. We are called to be disciples and share the gospel to anyone. The walk to Emmaus is just that. I have seen God change lives in just 72 hours and I want to do my part in contributing to that. Thank you all. |
