Jeff Roller
My name is Jeff Roller and I live in Amarillo, Tx. I have been married to my wife Carol for 32 years and have two adult children, Josh and Jenna. I attended Walk #181 in March of 2005 and it changed my life. I had never known the love of our Lord like that expressed over the weekend. I have continued to give back to the Community over the years and have been greatly blessed in doing so. I served in all laity positions on numerous Walks over the years and given a number of talks and was honored to serve as Lay Director on Walk # 224. I also served as Inside Board Representative on 2 Walks during my previous 3-year term on the Board including serving as Community Lay Director for the Golden Spread Emmaus Community, as well as Community Lay Director for the Golden Spread Chrysalis Community. I also was able to serve on a couple of Kairos weekends in the Neal unit. More recently, I served the Golden Spread Chrysalis Community in Behind the Scenes roles and mime communion. Recently, my wife, Carol, and I have retired from our positions at Amarillo ISD affording more time for service and support of our community. I am honored to be nominated to serve on the Board and would welcome the new service opportunities where my past experience can help build upon the decades of success of the Golden Spread Emmaus Community. For through service, we become the hands and feet of Christ sharing His love with those around us. |

Larry Yaws
My name is Larry Yaws. While on my personal Walk to Emmaus (240) in August of 2014, I learned what the true forgiveness of Jesus meant. With His guidance, and the agape love of the people who journeyed with me, I was finally able to forgive myself of my past and move forward powerfully in my true identity as a Son of God. From that time forward I have had the blessing of being a part of the Emmaus Community with the intention to share that same love and grace with others that was given to me. I have worked behind the scenes, as well as on the conference room team. I have served as an assistant table leader on walk 250 and as a table leader on walks 258, 264, and 273. I have the honor of working walk 279 this November. I work for Randall County Fire Department. My wife Heather and I attend The Loft and have five grown children. |

Madison Walker
My name is Madison Walker. I have been married to my husband Lance for 7 years, and together we have three kids. Lily (age 4), Walker (age 3), and Clark (age 18 months). I am a registered nurse and have worked in all aspects of nursing including the ER, ICU and most recently supervising home health. I went on my Chrysalis 15 years ago. Since then, I have been involved in various roles within the Emmaus and Chrysalis community. I served on the Chrysalis board of directors. I worked two Chrysalis flights in the roles of assistant table leader and table leader, where I gave the “Ideals” talk. I have worked three different Emmaus Walks as an assistant table leader and a table leader. I have given the “Discipleship” talk, “Growth Through Study”, and “Life of Piety” talk. I enjoy participating in all things Emmaus, from Candlelight to Community and everything in between. My parents instilled in me at a young age the importance of living a life with a relationship with Christ, and I hope that my actions are an example of that for others and especially my kids. |

I experienced my walk in March of 2007 on walk #195. I was shown what a loving community truly looked like and really began to understand how blessed we are to receive the grace of God. I have worked many walks in all Lay positions over the last 16 years. I was fortunate enough to be able to lead a great team on walk #250. Being a Lay Director was a blessing and something I will never forget. I’m currently working as the registrar for the Golden Spread Emmaus community. I would love to be able to also serve as a Board Member. Being a part of this community has been a great blessing and I have enjoyed every minute of it. I would like for you to consider voting for me to be one of the Board of Directors of Emmaus. Thank you. |

Brenda Wilhite
My name is Brenda Wilhite. What a humbling offer to be nominated to serve on the Emmaus Board to represent this community. Let me introduce myself, I am married to my High School sweetheart, Jim Wilhite, and this year is our 49th anniversary. I taught elementary school for 2nd – 5th grades for 29 years and was blessed to be a Youth Pastor for middle school and high school for 30 years. With Jim being a Pastor, I have taught all levels of Sunday School and Groups. I was blessed forever because of my Walk #91. Before I went on my walk, I thought I had a great relationship with God, but my walk taught me, I had a talk with God and not a true walk with God. I have served on the Emmaus Board previously, did the 4th Day training, served as Inside Board Representative, and helped on the music team. I have given “The Priesthood of All Believers”, “Changing My World”, “Priorities”, “Christian Action”, and the “Perseverance” talks, served as Past Lay Director, and I have been chosen to serve on Walk 278. I was blessed to serve as Lay Director on Walk 241. Jim and I started the Emmaus Community at Hillside Christian Church. What a blessing it is working side by side with God for His Kingdom with Emmaus. Thank you for this consideration. |
